Opening Activity
Ask pairs or trios to report on their progress so far.
- What have they completed? What do they still have left to do?
Independent Work Time
- Allow pairs/trios to take their answers that they researched yesterday and build their slideshow.
- Circulate through the class to keep students on task and to help them if they are struggling.
Lesson Closure
Double Circle
- Have students form two concentric circles facing each other.
- Students then tell the person they are facing an interesting fact about their artist.
- Instruct the inner circle to move one person to the left.
- Students then ask the new person they are facing what genre of music their artist performs in and how they know.
