Lesson 5: Presentations
Materials to Download
Opening Activity
- Congratulate students for being prepared and for their hard work.
- Explain the plan for presentations.
Presentation Time
- Students present their projects.
- Students are to complete the Thinking Organizer for Lesson #5 as they watch their classmates’ presentations.
Note: The structure of the presentations will vary depending on the particulars of your classroom, the size of your class, etc. You may wish to have students present to the entire group using the classroom projector. You may wish to have them present via laptop in rotating small groups. Choose what makes the most sense in your context.
Lesson Closure
- Give students time to finish their Thinking Organizer for Lesson #5.
- Then ask them to share what they have learned about Native American musicians that they didn’t know before this unit.
